Flail Emery, flail!


I will admit, glasses!Emery is a particular favourite of mine


See, when this is what our coach is like is it any wonder our boys are constantly flirting with each other and anyone who comes near?


Some relatively sedate flail. Which considering that was one of the matches I was at is kinda surprising coz I was watching him a lot when Chente wasn't too close and sedate isn't a word I ever would have picked XD


My love for this man is slightly irrational at times


He drives me around the fucking bend, there are times when I'm just shouting at him to fucking do something (like y'know, when you're halfway through the second half and it's still 0-0 and no one's looked like scoring and he still hasn't made a substitution) but I can't help but love him anyway.


He does like to cuddle his boys a lot before/after substitutions. Tho tbf it's Chente so y'know, you just would


Oh Unai love. I know the feeling well. Tho honestly, there's many a time where that facepalm is directed as much at you as the boys.


What is he even doing?


This is not Emery. This is Captain Joaquin.


But he's saluting at Emery, who had been suspended (I'd rather not think about why -___- not a fun match) and had to spend the first Champions League match flailing about in a box rather than all over the sidelines. One of my favourite moments of the match, and that's saying something considering we won 4-0 XD Other favourite moment was when the camera cut to him after one of the goals and he was literally waving his folder in the air and twirling around. THIS IS WHY I LOVE THIS MAN


Lol one of the commentators last week was talking about his poker face. Emery does not understand the meaning of hiding emotions XD


I should probably just take a moment to say


Despite my complaints about him and the weird ass decisions he makes


He has done a damn fine job of turning this team around


I mean when he took them on they were sliding right down the league


When he took them on they were 10th


In his first year they moved up to 6th


His second year up to 3rd, and got that all important CL place.


No denying that's a damn impressive turn around


Ahhhhhh favourite moment of the match (ok so it was a particularly dull match) was so totally Emery sprinting across to retrieve that ball like "I'VE GOT IT!" while Jordi just carries on like yeah whatever XD


I know I included this in the last spam but FFS HE HAS A PINK KAYAK XD I swear at times he is more like a primary school teacher than a top level football coach. I mean he takes the team out to paintballing, sailing, kayaking, to basically giant adventure playgrounds. And I totally love it XD


I have at times tried interpretting his flailing


It doesn't work


Seriously, what is that supposed to mean?


Helf the time it looks like he's telling them to do cartwheels across the pitch or something


.....tho considering his training techniques this isn't entirely impossible


LOL he looks like he wants to just run on there and go "oh ffs no! Like this!"


I love how basically every single match we play there is at some point in the highlights a montage of his flailing


There was one the other week where they were like "he's a plane! He's a matador! He's doing a 90s boyband dance!" and just giggling XD


Commentators always love when they show him coz they can just have a good laugh


Especially with the CL matches where I had English commentators who weren't used to watching Valencia and they were basically just like "OMG WHAT'S HE EVEN DOING? DOES HE EVER STOP IT?"

Don't try to out-flail Emery. It won't work, you'll just hurt yourself.


Lol I love that, the whole match they kept comparing Sir Alex standing/sitting around looking on with vague interest to... what is he even doing there? Telling them to twirl around like ballerinas?


AWWWWWWWWW! Daddy!Unai with bb!Isco :3 He always looks so protective of his bbs, they all get a big hug before they go on X3 Not even kidding. Is it any wonder this team is so touchy-feely?


EMERYPLANE! EmeryPlane is my favourite kind of EmeryFlail ^_^


Again, I included it in the last one (for the Tino and Quino getting into inappropriate positions) but he fucking cracks me up in this one. Flailing about like a madman and Roberto's just looking at him completely bewildered XD

Lol it really is surprising he manages to keep himself from running onto the pitch sometimes XD

And thus ends the Emeryflail. Except the Emeryflail never really ends. It is ongoing, forever, never ending flaaaail. How could I not love him? He flails more than me!
