last_panda asked for a Marat spam, and what can I do but oblige?
This is Marat.
He is extraordinarily pretty.
He is tall, Russian, and easily angered (mostly by himself)
He is unfamiliar with the idea of practicing with a shirt.
This is a Good Thing.
Everybody loves him
Especially fellow players
Especially especially Roger
He's a bit special sometimes
...ok, quite often really
...yeah, quite often
...maybe I should update that to always
...yeah, always
..ok, he's always special
He can control tennis racquets with his mind
But sometimes they rebel and come back to attack him
This makes him angry
(but not as angry as the phrase "foot fault". Do not under any circumstances utter those words in his presence unless you are very brave, very stupid, or wish to die)
You will know when he is angry
His tennis racquet will end up dead on the floor
Sometimes in several pieces
Occasionally he will win shinies (...or at least he used to :\ )
But sometimes the shinies attack him

Really doesn't understand the deal with those shirt things people keep wearing to practice
He likes to flirt with unsuspecting boys (cept Rafa's spent far too much time with Roger, so he's always suspecting)
His DC team mates really love him
His smile could power he small city
He can rock the "just shagged" look
...I have no idea what he is doing here
He's not afraid to let you know when your presser is boring him
He's a bit of a dork really. And Igor agrees.
He really is unbelievably pretty

He doesn't like when his boys talk to each other and leave him out

He likes to be silly in practice

He knows he's hot
He has a bike in his bathroom

He may look bored in pressers, but he is always attentive to other players (even Andy Murray)
He whispers naughty things to Roger on court
His wristband talks to him
He likes to show his legs off to other boys
No one can make him LOL as much as Juanqui (possibly my favouritest Marat pic ever)

Yeah, he's definitely a dork
...but then so are all the other players he hangs around with
...but Marat's the biggest dork
This is why umpires never give him penalties. Coz who would give a penalty after that?
He is, at times, completely adorable
He likes flowers
But is not particularly impressed with his tiny shiny

When he was baby!Marat he accidentally won the USO. Baby!Marat was veryveryveryveryveryvery cute
Whereas not-baby!Marat is just plain hot
Tho his confused face is adorable
He likes to make other boys laugh (OMG GIGGLY MARCOS IS ADORABLE *smushes him*)
He and his boys sometimes wear matching outfits... even when they're on different teams... and with different brands... *eyebrow*
I'm not entirely sure why I love this picture so much, but I do
He has a display of all of the tennis racquets he has defeated.
He likes getting shinies
He is not impressed with your shenanigans
He sometimes gets bored and sits down in the middle of matches
He is sometimes reasonable when someone says "foot fault", and instead of killing them, uses puppy dog eyes
And rants at them for about half an hour...
...in fact, sometimes he can go on about it for days, or even weeks
Then he does sexy angry face and leaves
He is the world's biggest dork
He once got a black eye "working out and training hard". But he won the fight XD
He still looks pretty, even with his face messed up
He even let Dina play with him that week
They were very good, and nearly won
But got beaten in the final. This made Dina sad...
...which made Marat angry. No one's allowed to make his sister sad.
But Dina said it was ok, so Marat was happy again (awwww, the way she looks at him <3 such a pretty family)
Marat continues to be a dork
...again
Somehow he's not yet worked out that if you break your racquet...
You should replace it with a new one, not just carry on playing with it anyway
He scrubs up quite well
...ok, really well
God, how is he so pretty?
Right, I'm off to find a stream for Rafa's match (which is, for once, at a reasonable time for me to watch it)

Just a little bit then, oh, my god baby!Marat was friggin' adorable! Is the USO trophy just one of those trophies you hug?
Having Hopman Cup is one of the few redeeming features of my city. =) Except that I didn't go this year, because my money had already gone to going to Melbourne for AO instead.
