This man.
I could not be more proud. To fight back after looking so completely destroyed at the end of that 3rd set took every ounce of passion and determination he had in him, and in the end it was so very very close, an odd miss here and there (that stupid missed passing shot at 4-2 30-15), one or two points that could've completely changed the outcome. But he gave it everything he had when it would've been so easy to just say "well done this is yours take your trophy", especially after the past 6 matches these two have played. He looked like he had no answers but he dug deep and found something new and he made a goddam epic match of it when it could so easily have been a complete walkover. So proud.
Next time love. This match was so much closer than any last year, you so very nearly had him. Next time those odd points might just swing your way. Next time you KNOW you've got the game to take it to him. Next time you will win.
Go rest up. Have a break, get away from everything, forget about it all. Come back all guns blazing.
