My last few weeks in work have been as follows:

1 - All normal shifts except for one late
2 - All early shifts
3 - Normal, late, normal (cept I stayed lated), late, normal (cept I left early to use up hours from staying late Wednesday)
4 - Early, early (stayed an extra hour), late, early, early.

Sleep patterns gradually getting more and more screwed.

I turned off all my alarms this morning since I'm on a late and wanted to try and gain back a bit of extra sleep from all earlies I've done this week.

Cept I got woken up at 6am by my flatmate repeatedly going back and forth from her room to the kitchen and not bothering to think "oh it's 6am, maybe I should try and close doors quietly?" Seriously, 6am. I don't have to be in work til 11, but if I was on a normal shift I wouldn't even be awake by then (if I was on an early I would've already left ¬_¬). I know my door can be kinda noisy (it creaks like hell and I can't fix it) but I've checked with my flatmate if it's disturbed her up when I've been on an early shift and she was like "oh don't worry about it, I was up early myself, I had to be in for 8am so I was up by 6.30" so she clearly didn't hear it at all. There is no excuse for letting doors slam tho.

Is it just me or if you're living in accommodation specifically meant for hospital staff is it doubly important to be considerate about how much noise you're making and at what hours? You don't know what kinds of hours people are going to be working. Especially since I'm pretty sure it was my new flatmate (not the one who's been causing all the previous problems) that was up and about, and she we've not really talked yet so as far as she knows I could be a nurse who's been working night shifts. Or I could've been on the other side of the country yesterday and only got in at midnight (perfectly likely, it's happened to me several times). Slamming doors at that kind of hour is just stupidly inconsiderate.

*sigh* whatever. Only one more week, then I get my own place. I should probably go get ready to go to work now. Whatever. I can just sleep through once everyone else goes and get Owen to wake me when it's time to lock up (least I'm not on my own).

...I want new flat nao -___-

I've just been sending my parents all the stuff about my graduation and had an OMGHOLYFUCKINGSHIT moment of... fuck, I'm not gonna be a student anymore. I'm gonna have to learn to be a real person. I don't know how to be a real person. I don't want to be a real person.

Fuck, this is... god, it's weird. And fucking scares the shit outta me.

Am hanging around in the computer cluster waiting for my personal tutor meeting in about 10 minutes.

I really don't want these exam results. I know they're bad. I wish we could just get our results online like we do for summer exams. And don't want Sean sitting there telling me a failed his exam catastrophically. And that my others weren't much better. I want to find that out at home on my own where I can react as I want and no one has to see it.

I came in an hour early to do stuff for labs. Honestly, I don't know why I bother. I hung around after lectures on Friday as well. I finished lectures at 1, hung around til 2 when my lab pertner had decided we had to meet up. Did some work (in between checking DC scores of course) which I could've quite easily done at home, then he fucked off after an hour of not doing anything. Why? Ah well, I've emailed him stuff to print, he can at least make himself a bit useful.

Off to the Sean.

*wibbles*

Fuck, I'm bored of this presentation. I've got it down to 8 minutes tho (it's supposed to be 5, it was orignally 11 :\)

Ah well, it'll all be over in an hour and a half. I just can't be bothered with it.

One more run through, then I'm off.

Fucking useless Americans.

Tsonga's in the final.

Right Daveed, you're our last chance.

Cheesecake + new TG magazine + painkillers + Josh Groban = me feeling... marginally better.

Just checked my word count on my dissertation as I finished a sentence to find that I had written 2,222 words. I believe this is a sign that I should stop for lunch XD

But hey, that means I've got it about half written, since it needs to be 4000-6000 words. And errr, I haven't even started on the main issue yet XD

It's driving me mad tho, coz I can't use half of the sources that I find, so I keep having to search again for someone that actually has some sort of authority on the matter (rather than just some weirdo posting stuff on the internet about how either "global warming is all a myth, here's a load of random fancts I've probably just made up. Now I'm going off to drive my Lambourghini across America just to make a point" or "OMG look at all of these random facts I've just made up, they clearly show that the world is going to end if we don't all go and live in caves tomorrow and never burn anything ever again")

*sigh* Ah well, hopefully my supervisor will like what I've written so far, now that it's actually in a proper essay form rather than just a load of random sections that I haven't quite put together yet.

I so wanna sit around wasting time by making animated icons of tennis racquets coming back to seek their revenge on Marat.

But I really need to do works.

But now the idea is in my head and it won't go away.

Incidentally, I am currently borrowing Jade's power supply, turns out that's what was wrong with my computer last night. Fortunately, that's the best thing it could've been, since that's really easy to replace. I've ordered a new one (and my dad is sending me money for it ^_^) so hopefully I should have it in a couple of days. It will be racing with my new battery (which my dad randomly decided to order for me at the weekend, since my old battery lasts all of 10 minutes before it has to be re-charged, so I have to have it plugged in all of the time). So hey, maybe by the end of the week I will have a marginally improved computer \o/ It'll still be slow as anything and will randomly crash at awkward moments, but I will actually be able to use it without having to borrow stuff from other people.
